We always want to give our dogs treats to show them how much we adore them, but it is surprising how many human foods/treats are actually dangerous for dogs. Recently there has been more publicity about the sugar substitute, Xylitol, and how toxic it is for dogs. Most commonly this is found in gum, but it can also be found chocolate products and even peanut butter! Below is an article about Xylitol toxicity and what to do if your dog ingests it.
