• Cancellations Policies
  • Dog Fitness Visits-
    • Services cancelled 48 hours or more before scheduled visit will not be charged for visit
    • Services within 48 hours but 24 hours before scheduled visit will be charged 50%.
    • Services cancelled within 24 hours of schedule visit will be charged 100%.
    • If employee arrives for visit and we have received no previous notification stating they are not needed, there will be a full charge for the visit.
  • Pet Sitting-
    • 50% charge for total amount within three days of trip and scheduled first visit
    • 50% charge for total amount within seven days of trip during holiday season (Thanksgiving to New Years Day)
    • No refund if return early from trip and cancel scheduled visits.

 

  • Holiday Surcharge
    • A $10 holiday surcharge will be charge per visit on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

 

  • Off Road Paws Contract and Care Questionnaire
    • All clients will review our policies and review and sign our contract. No services will be provided until policies are reviewed, care questionnaire is filled out and contract is accepted and signed.

 

  • Meet and Greet
    • Initial meeting is free to client
    • Detailed conversation about pets’ care and home care.
    • House keys, entry codes and/or alarm will all be tested by client and ORP employee
      • Two house keys will be required from clients. If additional keys are needed, ORP will pay for and supply additional keys after the first two.
      • One house key required if a door code or garage code is used. Key is for backup if power goes out or door code stops functioning properly.
      • Lockboxes supplied by ORP are an option if client would prefer.
    • Payment method will be determined.
      • Client has option of paying with cash, check or credit card. A credit card must be kept on file in the client’s Time to Pet account.
      • Payment for weekly scheduled dog fitness services will be invoiced every two weeks on Friday of the second week of completed services.
      • Payments for intermittently scheduled dog fitness services will be invoiced on the Friday of the week the service is scheduled in.
      • Payments for pet sitting can be:
        • 100% at start of scheduled pet sits OR
        • 50% at start of schedule pet sit and 50% immediately upon completion of pet sits
      • ORP will charge the credit card on file for any open invoices that are more than seven days past due .
      • An up-to-date vaccine record will be required.
        • Cats- Rabies and Distemper vaccines required
      • Dogs- Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper required.
      • If a reason not safe for your dog or cat to have vaccines, a written explanation from client will be needed in order to decline a required vaccine. A written explanation will be needed from a veterinarian if the Rabies vaccine can’t be given for a medical reason.
      • Discuss Time to Pet software set-up and questionnaire/contract
        • Once Time to Pet account is set up, all scheduling and communication must go through the Time to Pet account. There is an option to use Time to Pet app for text messaging.
        • Clients must request scheduling and changes to scheduling through Time to Pet.
        • Emails and text messages sent outside of the Time to Pet system are not guaranteed to be received or responded to in a timely manner.

 

  • Scheduling
    • Clients will be able to see a block of time on their Time to Pet scheduler that shows the range in which an ORP employee will arrive for their scheduled visit. We will notify you if there is a reason we won’t arrive during that block of time.
      • Time sensitive medications are an exception and a specific time for our arrival will be determined with the client
    • Off Road Paws requires that management (owner and/or assistant manager) are knowledgeable and able to complete any of our dog fitness and pet sitting visits at any time. We require that at least two additional employees, outside of management, are comfortable with each client and their pet(s).

 

  • Aggressive Behavior
    • Under no circumstances, will aggressive behavior by an animal towards an ORP employee be tolerated. Visits will terminate immediately by ORP.
    • Dogs will ANY history of aggressive behavior towards other dogs or any other animal will NEVER be allowed off-leash and kept on-leash at all times.

 

  • Off-Leash Guidelines
    • ORP does offer off-leash dog hikes under strict guidelines.
    • Dogs with ANY history of aggressive behavior will not be allowed off-leash under any circumstances.
    • ORP will start any potential off-leash dogs on-leash until deemed safe by ORP to take off-leash
    • Dogs must be under 100% voice control to be off-leash.
    • Electronic collars will be permitted (only in vibrate mode), but only for emergency use. 100% voice control is required WITHOUT the use of the electronic collar.
    • Dogs will only be taken off-leash in designated areas that allow dogs to be off-leash on trail or other outdoor area.
    • At any time, ORP can make the decision that a dog is not to be off-leash while under ORP’s care or discontinue service if deemed a safety issue for client’s dog, our employees, general public or other dogs or animals.

 

  • Indoor/Outdoor Cats
    • While cats are under ORP’s care for scheduled cat sitting visits, cats must remain inside at all times. We will not allow cats to be outside during our scheduled visits.

 

  • Access to Outside-Dogs
    • If dog(s) have access to the outside (doggy door or other entry point to backyard), ORP will not be liable for any injury, disappearance, death or fines to pets incurred  due to outside access.
    • ORP will not leave doggy doors or any other form of access to the outside open overnight on pet sits. No exceptions.

 

  • Additional People Involved in Pets Care
    • If there are ANY other people that will be entering the house or apartment during the period when ORP is pet sitting or out for a dog fitness service, ORP can assume no liability for any damages or losses to your home or pet. ORP is to be given a list of people that might be or will be on the premises during a pet sit and their contact informations (phone and email).

 

  • Changes to Terms
    • Off Road Paws reserves the right to change the content and policies on the website and in Time to Pet. Any changes will be in effect once posted.
